Chaine Music

Paul Davis
The Music of Ireland, Sundays 21:00 - 22:00

This is a special show – although specially made for Chaine FM – it is not made in Larne. Instead Paul Davis, a Larne guy, living in Nova Scotia Canada brings you this weekly show.

Paul got started in the radio business back on St. Patrick's Day 1982 with a one shot St Patrick's Day special. He was asked because he was already the most successful of the local DJs and Irish. After getting a good response from listeners, it was decided to try it every week to see if it would work. It's still going strong and The Music of Ireland can be heard every Sunday at 19:04 (that’s 23:04 our time) on 101.5 FM FM The Hawk (listen online at 101.5FM The Hawk). The last 4 shows are downloadable from Paul’s site The Music Of Ireland

Paul was in the DJ business for 25 years in Canada before giving it up 5 years ago. He is married with 2 children, Kieran 24 and Shannon 22. He and his wife Janice have been married for 25 years (making him the marital bronze medalist in the Davis family!) Paul’s other passion these days is playing live music with his friends 0 he is a whistle player. When he’s not on the radio or playing tunes he is a Cable TV technician.

Paul also claims to be the original DJ in the Davis clan. Back in 1975 and 1976 he was the alternate for quite a few Saturday nights at Kilwaughter House which was the spot back then.
